Robert Louis Stevenson, author of the Treasury Island, carried out a crossing of the Cevennes in 1878 from the Monastier – sur – Gazeille to Saint – Jean – Du – Gard. He made a book, traveling with a donkey in the Cevennes, became a classic travel stories. This guide does not take the route already well known, but proposes: 28 walking loops, independent of each other, on the course of Stevenson easily feasible with family.
