Maps of Northland and Wangarei provincial towns (New Zealand) | Kiwi Maps
Northland Region at 1:275,000 in a series of maps covering various districts of New Zealand, each title combining a detailed road map with street plans of local towns, all with indexes of roads and streets. The maps are published in two formats: Pocket Maps or Pathfinders with, as the publishers say, “larger print for less squinting”.
The Northlands map covers the northern part of the North Island, extending south to Auckland. An enlargement shows the towns of the Bay of Islands in greater detail at a scale of 1:35,000. On the reverse are panels with street plans for 61 local towns. Separate indexes are provided for the main map, the Bay of Islands enlargement and for each of the towns shown on the street plans.
The maps in the series, usually between 1:175,000 and 1:275,000, show local roads and 4WD tracks. The country’s major tourist routes, such as the Pacific Road Highway or the Thermal Explorer Highway, are identified by small icons. Railways, local airports and, where applicable,
