Stirring proudly over a village crown, at 1,753 m altitude, the Mézenc has always capsized many hearts and crink many feathers: those of botanists, geologists, poets, novelists, journalists … all saw a haven of peace.
It is true that the flora of the mezenc, aromatic, protected, is remarkable with the explosion of the violets, followed by that of the gentianes, Arnicas … raspberries and blueberries are here a real delight to consume on the spot!
The young Loire, still wild and sometimes capricious, is a paradise for fishermen and lovers of nature. It conceals in its throats many protected species, such as otter, pearl mussels or the Grand Duke of Europe.
