Mįl og menning’s manuscript map of Iceland with 43 panels providing images and brief descriptions of the oldest Icelandic manuscripts, each accompanied by a small map indicating its association with a specific place, while a larger map of the whole country refers to the individual entries. The accompanying text is in Icelandic, Danish, English and German.
The manuscripts were chosen to illustrate a variety of appearances and subjects and selected from the collections held at the Įrni Magnśsson Institute for Icelandic Studies in Reykjavik, the Arnamagnęan Collection at the University of Copenhagen and the Royal Library in Stockholm.
