Guide – Secret Vercors: Hiking off the beaten track | Glénat (French)
The Vercors, huge and wild tray long 60 kilometers, is at the center of very diverse regions like the Trièves, the Diois or the Royans. He dominates Grenoble to the North, Die and Valencia in the South. This massif, dug of multiple grooves, canyons, caves and surrounded by the largest limestone cliffs of the region, has often hidden wonders, looking for which Pascal Sombardier left off the beaten path for several years. From old maps and Miscellaneous documents, meetings with hunters, mountaineers and local speleologists, he imagined or rehabilitated some fifty routes of all styles and levels. Many are unpublished, variants or extensions of classic circuits are sometimes proposed, but most have been developed to allow the discovery of forgotten trails, natural curiosities or exceptional moods.
